Robert Evers is a compassionate and experienced therapist with over a decade of work in co-occurring treatment, supporting individuals navigating both substance use and mental health challenges. He holds advanced training in psychology, clinical mental health counseling, and vocational counseling from Rutgers University.
Robert takes a trauma-informed, integrative approach to therapy, combining evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). His work is also shaped by an existential perspective, helping clients explore meaning, identity, and personal growth.
He believes that many of life’s struggles are rooted in deeper patterns that can feel overwhelming or difficult to understand alone. Robert works alongside his clients to gently uncover these patterns, identify what may be holding them back, and develop practical, meaningful strategies for healing and change. In a safe, nonjudgmental space, Robert helps individuals process complex emotions, build self-awareness, and reconnect with their sense of purpose. He supports clients in integrating all parts of themselves—including those that may feel hidden or difficult—so they can move forward with greater clarity, balance, and confidence. If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready for change, Robert offers a supportive partnership to help you move toward healing, growth, and a more fulfilling life.
